When it comes to MTV award shows though, anything goes. Unlike the Academy Awards or Emmys (or even the Grammys which issued a dress code warning for its February telecast), MTV award shows are far more laxed. Chinos, Converses and cleavage are all among the things you'll find on an MTV red carpet, with this year being no exception.
