For New York Fashion Week which began on 5 September, designer Mara Hoffman, who typically deals in ethnic prints each season, also focused on the tropics for her Spring/Summer 2014 collection. Thirteen years after stylist Patricia Field discovered Mara Hoffman in the streets of New York City — Field had stopped her to compliment her outfit—the designer is still creating successful collections full of her signature colorful prints and patterns.
"I call this collection 'a gang of rainbow warriors,' " says Hoffman, who showcased on the third day of #nyfw held at in Lincoln Center. She went on to describe her collection as "vibrant palette of prints" and "playful silhouettes in whimsical chiffons and lightweight jerseys."
"If there were ever a gang that worshipped rainbows, this is what they would wear," she added.
