On 19 September, P&G Prestige and Italian Vogue party at Casa degli Atellani, a fifteenth-century mansion complete with frescoed ceilings and a moonlit garden, Blake Lively had a run-in with a fleet of butterflies. “These are incredible!” Lively exclaimed as she posed with the cascade of monarchs, just one part of an incredibly intricate installation set up throughout the palazzo for an exhibition called “Beauty in Wonderland,” which opened to the public today.
Lively was wearing a Gucci jumpsuit fresh off the runway, where she’d been sitting front row for the spring 2014 show that day. “I love jumpsuits, so this was definitely a favorite from the show,” she said.
Upstairs, Susie Lau explored a room with a moss-covered table and blue-and-white china bowls filled with auburn crystals. It seemed every room revealed mannequins in paper dresses with colorful palettes—a nod to the marriage of beauty and fashion.
Outside, a satin armchair and whimsical lamp were situated on the lawn amidst guests, including Bianca Balti, Peter Dundas, and Cate Blanchett, who wore a Prabal Gurung dress so cool it surely would have struck her Blue Jasmine character with envy.
