By Men's Journal Online | 17 November 2013

Traditionally Valentino showcases all their collections in Paris, for the first time in the Italian fashion house's history, a new collection was introduced in China. To celebrate the opening of a new boutique in Shanghai, the house organized a special event to unveil a timeless collection named Collection Shanghai 2013.

The fashion event was held in an orb-shaped space with a floor-to-ceiling glass in a cruise terminal on the Shanghai's Huangpu River. The creative directors Maris Grazia Chiuri and Pierpaolo Piccioli said that the clothing was designed for a global clientele. It was a seasonless collection that mixed prêt-à-porter, accessories, and haute couture, which included a total of 82 looks, and 22 were couture.

Maris Grazia Chiuri and Pierpaolo Piccioli explored the different sides of a woman with red color in various shades. The collection is being sold right now at the new Valentino flagship store in Shanghai, and for rest of the world, it will be available in Valentino flagships April 2014.
