On 15 April, luxury footwear retailer On Pedder invited designer Sophia Webster from London to Asia to showcase her latest insect sleepover-inspired Spring/Summer 2014 collection at an exclusive cocktail event in Singapore, held at its Scott’s Square store. The designer mingled over garden party style canapés, cocktails, and her whimsical Spring/Summer 2014 collection, which was displayed within an abundance of blossoming fresh flowers.

The designer’s Spring/Summer 2014 collection is full of butterfly heel detailing, flats adorned with blossoming flowers, and her signature speech bubble clutches featuring tongue-in-cheek phrases. Inspired by Mika Ninagawa (the Japanese photographer and director known for her vibrant and brightly coloured photographs of nature) the collection is made up of intense and hyper colours combined with a dark edge. This season, the designer introduced new styles to her range – ‘killer heels,’ jelly shoes, flats, wedges and espadrilles. Appliquéd flower garlands, embroidered patterns and neon bright accents are seen on both shoes and accessories.

Seen amongst the guests were celebrities and socialites such as Anita Kapoor, Jamie Chua, Paige Parker, Sabrina Van Cleef Ault, and more.
