In a departure from his usual suited look for his private and exclusive fashion showcase for editors in London, designer Tom Ford who was dressed in a unbuttoned black shirt, jeans and a safari jacket, looked to his roots in Texas, and neighbouring New Mexico and state capital Sante Fe for inspiration, reviving the denim and leather look for next summer's menswear collection. A go-between the traditional cowboy look and the native American style, the 30-look ensemble featured checked, popper-down shirts, neckerchiefs, fringed leather jackets and big buckle belts.
The evening section saw slim-fitting jackets with narrower lapels, unstructured shoulders and patch pockets, made from crumpled washed cotton, as well as print-heavy dinner jackets including a two-tone zebra-print jacquard and one featuring a pink-heavy oil slick-looking pattern.
