Singapore's beloved son and icon of the local music scene, Dick Lee, is set to make his directorial debut in the upcoming musical, Beauty World. The production which is making its fifth run was written by Michael Chiang with lyrics penned by Lee. It first opened in 1988 and had since embarked on a successful Japan tour (1992) as well as a record-breaking production shown live on TV (1998).
Set in mid-60s Singapore, the musical comedy starring thespians Jeanette Aw and Janice Koh, traces the adventures of an innocent young girl who enters a seedy cabaret hoping to find her long-lost father.
Tickets for the Victoria Theatre show running from November 13 to December 12 are now available for sale at SISTIC.
