Jacob & Co. unveils The Mystery Tourbillon 44MM: a flower in full bloom of diamonds and light
In the hands of Jacob & Co., haute horlogerie becomes high art — a dazzling theatre where time unfurls like a flower in perpetual bloom. The Mystery Tourbillon 44MM is the Maison’s latest world-first: a union of high watchmaking and high jewellery, where creativity and poetry pollinate every facet.
At its heart, a triple-axis flying central tourbillon transforms into a revolving blossom, its carriage crowned with an aerial coronet of nine polygonal-cut diamonds encircling a singular marvel — a 288-facet Jacob-cut diamond of 0.5 carat, scintillating as it spins in constant motion. This is the only tourbillon carriage so lavishly set with such large gems, a dazzling feat of mechanical virtuosity and gem-setting audacity.
The case itself is a universe of light: 510 invisibly set baguette-cut diamonds, hexagon-cut to perfection, saturating the 44 mm frame with 23.75 carats of brilliance. Gold disappears into invisibility, leaving only the endless shimmer of stones, punctuated by mysterious rubies for the minutes and blue sapphires for the hours. The composition is as architectural as it is lyrical — a field of white diamond fire, scattered with colour at horologically precise intervals.
Once every two minutes, the flower of the tourbillon aligns concentrically with its jewelled surroundings, a fleeting moment of harmony that recalls the enchanting illusions of mysterious clocks. Here, time is told on concentric rings — baguette-cut rubies marking the minutes, sapphires the hours — framing a spectacle where mechanics and jewellery merge in hypnotic rhythm.
Dedicated to women, yet monumental in scale and vision, the Mystery Tourbillon 44MM is Jacob & Co.’s ode to brilliance: an object where light, motion, and imagination converge in the poetry of eternal bloom.
