For over a decade, Bvlgari’s Octo Finissimo has redefined the codes of contemporary watchmaking, breaking record after record in the pursuit of elegance reduced to its purest form. Now, the Roman jeweller’s Swiss atelier unveils its boldest statement yet: the Octo Finissimo Ultra Tourbillon, the world’s thinnest skeletonised tourbillon wristwatch at just 1.85 mm in thickness. More than a technical feat, it is a manifesto — proof that mastery can be measured not only in millimetres, but in vision.

At the heart of this innovation lies a skeletonised tourbillon movement, the BVF 900 calibre, designed to maximise transparency and light. By opening the architecture to its limits, Bvlgari transforms mechanics into sculpture, each component finished to amplify contrast and depth. Contemporary decorative techniques — from circular brushing on the wheels and ratchet to geometric engraving on the steel — turn functionality into artistry.

The watch’s aesthetic is as radical as its mechanics. The 40 mm case, with sandblasted titanium bezel, middle case, and lugs, rests on a tungsten carbide main plate for strength and stability. An integrated titanium bracelet, impossibly slim at just 1.50 mm, folds seamlessly into the design, while the sandblasted anthracite DLC dial offers an understated stage for rhodium-coated hands.
