Parmigiani Fleurier captures the spirit of the Alps with the Tonda PF Sport Chronograph Silver Verzasca - Watches & Wonders 2026 #WatchesandWonders2026

As the warmer season begins to reshape the horizon, Parmigiani Fleurier introduces a new interpretation within its sporting collection that feels like a landscape of mineral light. The Tonda PF Sport Chronograph Silver Verzasca takes its name from Switzerland’s Verzasca Valley, a region where alpine clarity meets a climate of rare purity. Rather than simply reproducing this scenery, the timepiece translates its natural harmony into an object of understated elegance.

The 42 mm case is a study in proportion, sculpted from polished and satin-finished stainless steel. A signature knurled bezel captures reflections with rhythmic regularity, anchoring the watch within the world of technical timekeeping while adding a tactile dimension. This case middle naturally integrates the chronograph pushers, and a screw-down crown ensures the piece is water-resistant to 100 metres.

Beneath the sapphire glass, the silver dial features a "clou triangulaire" guilloché finish and sub-dials rendered in a distinctive "Verzasca" hue. The hands are crafted from 18ct gold with a rhodium plating, skeletonized into a delta shape and coated with black luminescent material for effortless reading. This refined aesthetic is mirrored by the rubber strap, which uses a multi-layer construction inspired by fine saddlery to offer a level of comfort rarely achieved in high-performance watches.

Mechanical mastery drives this creation through the COSC-certified manufacture calibre PF070. Operating at a high frequency of 5 Hz, the integrated movement ensures exceptionally precise measurement of short intervals. The openworked bridges are hand-bevelled and satin-finished, while the skeletonized oscillating weight is fashioned from 22ct rose gold.

Guido Terreni, CEO of Parmigiani Fleurier, notes that the watch expresses controlled power. He states that "we do not pursue spectacle; we seek balance between performance and purity, between mechanical tension and aesthetic serenity". This timepiece is intended for those who understand that true authority never imposes itself, but instead reveals itself through coherence and discretion
