Wisma Atria Singapore Unveils A New Facade
By SENATUS News | 10 September 2012

Wisma Atria has launched its S$31 million facade which took about a year to complete. The crystallised form of the revamped mall front conjures up the raw beauty of precious stones. Juxtaposed against the smooth, defined forms within the Orchard district, the contrasting geometric surface of the new exterior symbolises the renewed dynamism and energy of the retail concepts within the mall.

Directly facing the bustling Orchard Road are the duplex storefronts of international retailers such as Tory Burch and Coach with a visual spectacle awaiting shoppers as the new flight of steps, spanning the entire 123m façade, glow in a symphony of pulsing LED downlights during the night.

Moving away from a traditional shop front barrier, this open retail concept raises the visibility of tenants, so that shoppers are able to gaze right into the back of the stores and discover the “gems” displayed at the boutiques in a “jewellery box” effect enticing them to step in.
