Fendi to Restore Rome's Famous Trevi Fountain
By SENATUS News | 31 January 2013

The City of Rome has presented the restoration projects for the Trevi Fountain and for the Four Fountains under the patronage of Fendi, sole patron, as part of the “FENDI for FOUNTAINS” initiative. At the heart of this agreement, is the preservation of one of the most important and symbolic Roman and Italian monuments following a complex restoration intervention.

The Restoration of the Trevi Fountain is the first in a series of conservation interventions which FENDI intends to support through “FENDI for FOUNTAINS”, the project aimed at restoring and safeguarding historical fountains in the city of Rome through a continuous, widespread preservation effort of the Capital’s historical and artistic heritage.

The time frame for the restoration works required to restore the fountain to its original splendor, is of approximately 20 months from the commencement of restoration works, and is scheduled to end by 2015. At the end of which, a plaque will be hung near the restored fountains, for a maximum of 4 years, featuring the City of Rome’s acknowledgement and thanks to Fendi.
