With the Spring/Summer 2017 season, Bottega Veneta has introduced a new compact shoulder bag, the City Knot.
Featuring the signature closure of the house's iconic Knot clutch, the City Knot is an additional elegant offering for evening occasions.
Characterized by a clean silhouette fashioned out of soft, full bodied French Calf leather, the new functional and urban-ready bag has three roomy compartments inside, available in three versions which pay homage to original materials and textures from Bottega Veneta 1970's archive — from the natural beauty of French Calf leather plain or combined with the leopard print to the shiny texture of the Capra Lissata featuring the feminine Butterfly motif.
The iconic intrecciato motif (Bottega Venetta's recognizable weaved leather pattern) is now reinterpreted as a refined engraved embellishment on the Dark Gold parts of the buckles in Brunito.
An enlarged version of the traditional Knot deployed with a mechanism closure, gives an extra touch of class and uniqueness to this elegant model. The mechanism is made with a lost wax process, a traditional jewel making technique. It is made of 15 components, and the making requires an entire week of work.
The metal hardware is in Dark Gold finishing as the chain and the knot, while the attachments and the buckles are in double colour finishing.
The stylish handles can be adjusted in two different lengths.
