The worlds of high-octane racing and haute horlogerie have found a new rhythm in a collaboration between IWC Schaffhausen and Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS Formula One driver George Russell.

This partnership has produced two limited edition Pilot’s Watches that capture the personal narrative of the British driver through a lens of sophisticated Swiss engineering. Each piece is a tribute to Russell's journey on the track, where he has secured five Grand Prix victories and established a brand synonymous with a very specific, cool composure.
Central to these new designs is a striking blue hue that has accompanied Russell throughout his career and currently adorns his racing helmet. This signature shade illuminates the black dials and defines the durable rubber straps, creating a visual duality that reflects the driver's own character.
Both models are housed in sleek cases of black zirconium oxide ceramic, a material IWC pioneered decades ago for its exceptional scratch resistance and lightweight feel. Personal touches abound within these technical masterpieces, most notably the titanium case backs engraved with the number sixty-three, the starting number Russell has carried since his childhood karting days.

The Pilot’s Watch Chronograph 41 George Russell
The Pilot’s Watch Chronograph 41 George Russell represents a bold intersection of professional instrument watchmaking and modern racing aesthetics. Its 41.9-millimetre case is crafted from black zirconium oxide ceramic, while the crown and pushers are made of Ceratanium, a proprietary IWC material that combines the lightness of titanium with the durability of ceramic.

On the black dial, the indices and numerals are printed in the signature blue shade, complemented by black hands filled with Super-LumiNova in the same vibrant hue.

Inside, the watch is powered by the IWC-manufactured 69380 calibre, a mechanical movement providing a 46-hour power reserve and a comprehensive chronograph function for hours, minutes, and seconds.

The Pilot’s Watch Automatic 41 George Russell
The Pilot’s Watch Automatic 41 George Russell offers a streamlined, three-hand interpretation of the collaboration. Housed in a 41-millimetre black ceramic case with a Ceratanium crown, this model shares the same high-contrast aesthetic as the chronograph but focuses on essential timekeeping. It features a black dial where the numerals and Super-LumiNova are highlighted in the driver's distinctive blue.

This model is equipped with the IWC-manufactured 32112 calibre, which utilizes a sophisticated double-pawl winding system to achieve a substantial 120-hour power reserve.
Both timepieces are limited to 1,063 pieces each and feature the integrated EasX-CHANGE system for effortless strap transitions.
A legacy in the fast lane
Whether navigating the sharp corners of the Singapore Grand Prix or the refined corridors of Schaffhausen, George Russell and IWC have proven that true style is a game of precision. These editions are more than mere instruments of time; they are wearable manifestations of a career defined by resilience and a signature blue streak of genius.
In the world of luxury, where every second counts, this collaboration ensures that the finish line is just the beginning of a beautifully engineered future.
