Following its recent openings in Osaka and Nagoya in Japan, Miu Miu is further strengthening its presence in Asia with a new boutique in Gyeonggi, Korea.
This store opening, within the prestigious Shinsegae Shopping Center, is significant as it is Miu Miu’s first in a key Seoul residential district.
Miu Miu is expected to be an anchor tenant in this development.
The space, designed by architect Roberto Baciocchi, spans over a total surface area of 80 square metres and is dedicated to the collections of bags and accessories for women.
The external facade, which is entirely clad in the unmistakable backlit gold damask and glass of the brand, is enriched with polished brass logos and studs, as well as light boxes.
The entrance, which is highlighted by a brown marble threshold, allows for an excellent view of the store’s interior. Inside, the walls, ceilings, seating, display cases and counters are all covered in gold damask, a characterising element of Miu Miu stores around the word.
The walls are further decorated with mirrors. The warm tones and diffused lighting of the space contribute to create an intimate and welcoming atmosphere in the boutique.
