Named after the house code for Burberry's signature honey-coloured gabardine using special plates developed to create a unique leather finish, The DK88 collection is a tribute to the fabric at the heart of Burberry’s history.
The top handle bag's timeless silhouette is defined by its oversize lock and sculptured handle and is crafted in Trench Leather.
The material replicates the distinctive twill finish of cotton gabardine, the cloth invented and patented by Thomas Burberry in 1888 and used today to make Burberry’s signature trench coats.
The classic styles are designed with clean lines and feature tonal stitching, and are adorned with polished metal.
All styles have a smooth calf leather or alligator top handle (or handles) and an adjustable leather cross-body strap. On some selected designs, there is a functional, oversize brass lock, with an internal pocket for the accompanying key.
