Gareth Pugh is staging a retrospective at the Galeria Melissa at Covent Garden in celebration of his brand's 10th anniversary.
The event space located at 43 King Street is the site of Brazilian plastic shoe brand Melissa's new flagship store, and has been transformed "to embrace the key visual codes of Gareth Pugh's conceptual design, in both the entrance and lower basement spaces."
Melissa is a longtime collaborator of Pugh's and is the lead sponsor of his London catwalk show.
"I'm totally energized at the prospect of showing on home ground after seven years on the Paris schedule. London is where everything began for me — it's where I live and work and my entire creative family is here"
The English designer's Fall/Winter 2015/2016 presentation is set for 21 February and his catwalks models will be wearing Melissa's soldier style footwear.
Many of his archival designs, including a cage-like dress, are displayed with Melissa shoes at the London exhibition.
The installation is set against exclusive footage created by Pugh's longtime collaborator, filmmaker Ruth Hogben.
