From 18 May to 30 June, Louis Vuitton is presenting Objets Nomades, a collection of travel-inspired objects by ten established and emerging designers that reinvents the Louis Vuitton Art of Travel and celebrates the encounter between savoir-faire and design.

First presented in Miami, the collection has travelled to Milan and Brazil, and will now be showcased in its first Asian destination, in Singapore.

Louis Vuitton has commissioned new talents for the project, collaborating with some of the most creative designers of our times: Patricia Urquiola, Maarten Baaz, the Campana Brothers, Damien Langlois-Meurinne, Atelier Oï, Nendo, Gwenaël Nicolas and Raw Edges.

The Louis Vuitton Island Maison at Marina Bay Sands, a one-of-a-kind retail destination, houses the first dedicated travel room in Asia Pacific as well as an outdoor loggia reminiscent of a deck on a luxury yacht, and is the ideal location to celebrate the luxury label's romance with and of travel.

Indeed, Louis Vuitton has been synonymous with the Art of Travel since its creation in 1854.

Building on a tradition of creative innovation and savoir-faire, Objets Nomades furthers Louis Vuitton's vision with 17 travel-inspired pieces, each crafted in noble materials and produced as unique objects, limited editions or experimental prototypes.

From a hammock to living room furniture in precious Nomade leather; a foldable bed to a Maracatu hanging travel cabinet, Objets Nomades draw inspiration from Louis Vuitton’s Special Orders department, a creative laboratory that has led to such iconic inventions as the Bed-Trunk (1880) commissioned by the explorer Pierre de Brazza, the Library Trunk (1923) and the Wardrobe Trunk (1875).

Now, as then, each new creation is distinctive for its contemporary spirit.

Recent additions include a beach chair inspired by the signature woven cotton strap used to secure objects packed inside Louis Vuitton trunks and suitcases, a swing chair informed by the topstitched handle on the Keepall bag, and a bell-shaped lamp that lends a nod to the Noé bucket bag.

Each object stands as a unique tribute to the House's iconic creations and signatures.

Singapore's Island Maison is one of the 4 Maisons in the world to carry the complete Objets Nomades collection in-store.
