It is with great pride that we share news of several SENATUS members who will be involved in the BLUEPRINT event this year, billed as Asia's Fashion Gateway.

Here's who to look out for:

More than 200 key fashion trade buyers from top regional and international stores will be attending the BLUEPRINT Tradeshow from 17 to 18 May to scout Pre-Spring 2013 collections of 120 emerging designer brands. The BLUEPRINT Tradeshow is part of BLUEPRINT 2012, presented by Lee Hwa Jewellery – a four day fashion event which also includes BLUEPRINT Emporium for consumers to shop from more than 200 brands from 19 to 20 May.  

BLUEPRINT Tradeshow
The BLUEPRINT tradeshow is Asia’s only fashion tradeshow featuring Pre-Spring collections from 120 of the best emerging designer brands in the world, with about 40 per cent of brands from Singapore and the rest from cities such as Amsterdam, Bangkok, Berlin, Hong Kong, Jakarta, Kuala Lumpur, London, Manila, Melbourne, New York, Paris, Perth, Seoul, Shanghai, Tokyo and Toronto.

This year’s tradeshow will also see country collectives with participation by the Seoul Metropolitan Government as well as the French Trade Commission.

Open to the media and registered trade visitors from 10am to 6pm from 17 -18 May (Thursday - Friday)

BLUEPRINT Emporium
A two-day offshoot of BLUEPRINT taking place over the weekend, when the trade venue becomes Asia’s defining shopping destination.

Discover and shop limited edition, sample and sales merchandise from more than 200 emerging designer labels and established and up-and-coming brands, including the majority of BLUEPRINT and The Brandery Asia @ BLUEPRINT’s tradeshow exhibitors.

Open to the public from 11am to 8pm from 19 - 20 May (Saturday - Sunday)

Tracy Phillips is a Singapore marketer, entrepreneur, trend-spotter and style icon who in her new role has advocated the "Wear Emerging Designers" (W.E.D.) movement.

DEPRESSION is a Singapore label founded in 2006 by former advertising creative team Kenny Lim and Andrew Loh. Depressed with the corporate struggle and inspired by their love for irony, the label was born to combat ‘depression’ through the creation of pieces that are always entertaining and never depressing.

Each season, the label presents minimalist, but tongue-in-cheek collections with a medical theme. Taiwanese singer Jam Hsiao and Black Eyed Peas member Taboo have also been spotted wearing the brand’s signature pieces. DEPRESSION currently has a flagship store at Cineleisure in Singapore.

Sabrina Goh, Singapore based designer started her brand ELOHIM at 2009, drawing inspiration from architectural form, sculpting strong and yet sensuous silhouette that celebrates confidence in wearer from inside out. ELOHIM Pre-Spring 2013 collection is inspired by the metaphor of Puzzle.

The collection plays with the hard-edged minimalist feel through its clean-cut lines and shapes. Bold graphical styles are seen, alongside with structure prints in block of colors of black, white, grey and blue. The ELOHIM BY SABRINA GOH flagship store can be found at Orchard Central in Singapore.

Stylist, photographer and a self-taught designer, Samuel Wong took inspiration from the prim and proper dressing of gentlemen of yesterday and reinterprets his ideas with a contemporary twist for his menswear label, evenodd.

The evenodd philosophy stems from the co-existence of polar opposites. Contrast becomes complimentary as simple, refined minimalism meets thought-provoking complications. Harmony and balance is achieved through calculated design and styling. At once subdued and practical yet exciting and adventurous in spirit.

The multi-talented Timo Weiland will showcase his DJ skills at the Tonight We W.E.D Blueprint Welcome Party on May 17th, at the newly renovated Loof at Odeon Towers by Teng Wee of Lo&Behold Group.

Loof is Singapore’s first standalone rooftop bar located atop Odeon Towers in downtown CBD. Going back to its roots, the new Loof is refreshed but maintains its cheeky and quirky character, but now comes with extra local flavour.
