Mercedes-Benz drives into a new era with the WTA Tour

22 December 2025

The future of women’s tennis has found a powerful new engine as Mercedes-Benz steps onto the global stage as the Premier Partner and Exclusive Automotive Partner of the WTA Tour. Starting January 1, 2026, this historic long-term partnership will redefine the circuit as the "WTA Tour Driven by Mercedes-Benz," marking one of the most significant commercial milestones in the history of women’s sports.

Under this landmark agreement, Mercedes-Benz will become a cornerstone of approximately 30 tournaments in its debut season, including WTA 1000, 500, and 250 events, with even broader expansion planned for 2027. Fans will see the iconic three-pointed star take center stage, featuring exclusively on the nets across all WTA events and making its debut on the net post at the Mubadala Abu Dhabi Open in February 2026. Beyond visibility, the partnership ensures a premium experience for the tour's elite athletes, providing an exclusive fleet of vehicles to chauffeur players and officials at each tournament.

This alliance is more than just a sponsorship; it is a shared commitment to gender equity and the acceleration of global growth for women’s tennis. Reported to be worth an estimated $50 million annually, the investment directly supports the WTA's ambitious goal of reaching pay equity at all tournaments. With world No. 3 Coco Gauff already named as a global brand ambassador, Mercedes-Benz is poised to inspire the next generation of role models while bringing a new level of luxury and visibility to the sport.
