Hayden Koh x Ving Ming Fall Winter 2014 | Kuala Lumpur Fashion Week RTW 2014
By Men's Journal Online | 26 June 2014

Hayden Koh is the latest designer to team up with Ving Ming for his fall-winter 2014 ‘APHOTIC’ collection, presented at the fourth day of Kuala Lumpur Fashion Week Ready to Wear 2014. Hayden Koh toed the line between futuristic and sea creatures-inspired with a showing of strong feminine voice with a clean, smooth fluid, modern silhouette.

The color palette was certainly autumnal with a mix of grey, black, white pebble, nude and Breton blue put on display. Adorned with body-conscious dresses, with a stark dark component reverberated in the designs, models strutted the runway in Ving Ming’s Aquanaut and Sea Punk shoes which syndicate architectural forms with subaquatic mystery.

The outlines on the shoes are inspired by warrior paint and natural markings of sea creatures. Hayden also toughened up the look by interplaying the fabrics and meting colors, with the implication of sleek looking textiles in order to imitate water of the sea high-tech PU and ray leather that forms a revolutionary expression in the designs.
