For the Spring/Summer 2015 season, Valentino presents a new range of luxury printed leather accessories, featuring a series of 5 prints – Blossom, Leaf, Flower Eyes, Arabesque and Flower Dot – inspired by the 18th century tradition of the Grand Tour – an educational trip taken by young Europeans to explore the art, philosophy and traditions of Italy. Leather is printed using a cutting edge digital technique and combined into pieces using a patchwork finish.
The accompanying ad campaign is eye-catching, with the floral-printed accessories laid against matching backdrops, creating a striking collage effect.
