In the ever-evolving ballet of high horology, few names command reverence quite like Patek Philippe. With the debut of the Cubitus collection, first unveiled in October 2024, the Maison redefines what it means to be simultaneously bold and refined. Inspired by architectural silhouettes and designed for a life lived in motion, the Cubitus is not just a watch—it’s an attitude.
At Watches & Wonders 2025, Patek Philippe breathes new life into the line with a versatile 40 mm model, sculpted for the contemporary wrist and destined to become a future icon of the “elegant sporty” genre.
The new 40 mm Cubitus comes in two exquisite iterations: the Reference 7128/1G-001 in shimmering white gold paired with a blue-gray sunburst dial, and the Reference 7128/1R-001 in warm rose gold with a richly toned brown sunburst dial. Both versions celebrate geometry in motion—the signature case design, a softened square with rounded corners, strikes a confident balance between sharp modernity and timeless grace. Its sleek profile is artfully enhanced by the contrasting interplay of vertical satin-brushed surfaces and gleaming polished edges, a tactile and visual feast.
Beneath the elegant exterior, the caliber 26-330 S C self-winding movement powers the timepiece with precision and panache. Featuring a stop-seconds function for accurate time-setting, the movement’s 21K gold central rotor is adorned with the same horizontal relief motif found on the dial, subtly linking the inside to the outside in a whisper of design continuity. Completing the look, the matching gold bracelet is as functional as it is beautiful, equipped with a patented fold-over clasp secured by four independent catches and a lockable adjustment system for ultimate wearability.
In Cubitus, Patek Philippe has carved out a new design language—where form meets finesse, and modernity finds its most elegant expression.
