Vacheron Constantin, a name synonymous with watchmaking excellence since its founding in 1755, is celebrating a monumental 270 years of tradition and innovation. For this landmark anniversary, the Maison unveils three stunning limited-edition timepieces from its iconic Traditionnelle collection, each a masterful blend of signature complications, sophisticated design, and unparalleled technical craftsmanship.

These three timepieces pay tribute to two hallmark Vacheron Constantin features: the openworked dial and the retrograde display, both of which have long been central to the Maison’s history. The first openworked dial appeared in 1918, and since then, Vacheron has continued to refine this design, with notable releases like the 2002 Reference 47247 and the 2019 Traditionnelle Twin Beat. Similarly, the retrograde display—first introduced in a wristwatch in 1940—has become a signature complication for Vacheron, with pivotal moments in its history including the 1994 Mercator and the 2000s-era Reference 47245.

The three limited-edition watches launched for the 270th anniversary combine these two technical marvels, each presented in a 950 platinum case that features the elegant design details synonymous with the Traditionnelle collection: stepped lugs, a fluted caseback, and a slender bezel. The openworked dials, inspired by Vacheron Constantin’s Maltese cross emblem, reveal the intricate mechanisms beneath while allowing the beauty of the movement to shine through.

The Traditionnelle Perpetual Calendar Retrograde Date Openface showcases Vacheron’s exceptional expertise in movement design. With a self-winding calibre, it features a perpetual calendar, accurate moon-phase display, and retrograde date, all harmoniously displayed against a deep blue backdrop.

The Traditionnelle Tourbillon Retrograde Date Openface combines a tourbillon at 6 o’clock with the retrograde date, presented through a mesmerizing openworked dial.

The Traditionnelle Complete Calendar Openface brings the Maison’s iconic complete calendar complication into focus, with an openworked dial revealing its 312-component self-winding mechanism.

Every detail of these timepieces speaks to Vacheron Constantin’s commitment to craftsmanship. The hand-guilloché pattern on the dials, inspired by the Maltese cross, adds a layer of artistry to the technical complexity, while the “côte unique” finishing on the bridges exemplifies the brand’s dedication to preserving centuries-old techniques. These pieces are more than just watches—they are a testament to Vacheron Constantin's legacy of excellence and a celebration of its 270-year journey in watchmaking.

With only a limited number of pieces available, these anniversary timepieces are a rare opportunity to own a piece of Vacheron Constantin’s storied history, combining innovation, artistry, and mechanical mastery in every tick.
